Yordon’s Extremal Extension

What's it called? Yordon’s Extremal Extension (YEE for short)

What does it do? This spell is the poor brother to Booch’s Extremal Polymorphism. Like its sibling, this spell will allow you to grow an extra arm. Unlike its brother, the limb will be temporary (it will disappear after some time). Also, unlike the other spell, you can only create one extra arm: recasting the spell will just lengthen the time the new extension stays with you. If you want up to 4 extra arms, you need Booch’s.

Where is it? Spells affecting your body parts and limbs are a speciality of Djelian sorcery, so they can be found in the Institute of Illusionary Learning, within the ever changing covers of Ye Booke of Polymorphe.

What does it require? Same as Booch's: a troll arm, a human arm and a dwarf arm. All are consumed in the process. What is not required, which the other spell asks for, is the focus of an octogram.

What skills do I need? Channeling, Convoking, Evoking, Binding, Animating

Has it worked? A correct output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Yordon's Extremal Extension.
You check the contents of your inventory.
You fetch a troll arm from the pile of your belongings and put it on the ground.
You find a dwarf arm from among your stuff and place it on the ground near the troll arm.
Finally, you discover a human arm and place it on the ground so that the three arms form a triangle.
You spend several seconds admiring the gruesome picture of the arm triangle.

This will be followed by a line indicating the appearance of the extra arm, and its location. Possible places are your head, armpits, chest or neck Some examples:

A new limb growing from the centre of your stomach makes you wonder if you are still a human.

A new limb growing from the top of your head makes you wonder if you are still a human.

Ok, now you have an additional arm hanging from your right armpit. What's next?

Oh my, looks like you just got an extra arm growing from the base of your neck!

After some time, the limb will go away, and you'll also get a message warning you like these:

You feel a tingling sensation in your chest arm as it detaches itself from your body and falls to the ground.
You feel thaumic energy leaving your body.

You feel a tingling sensation in your stomach arm as it detaches itself from your body and falls to the ground.
You feel thaumic energy leaving your body.

You feel a dull pain in your forehead arm.
You feel thaumic energy leaving your body.

You gasp in astonishment as your forehead arm decides to abandon you.
You feel thaumic energy leaving your body.

Whatever is being held with the hand will fall to the ground, and can shatter. Be careful!

Notes: This is a curious spell, but I find neither it nor its sibling particularly useful. The only advantage of extra arms is that you can hold more stuff (including weapons), but you are very likely to suffer from dexterity bonuses which offset any advantage, and the place where the arm grows will make it impossible to wear certain things. Besides (that's an issue of Booch's, not of Yordon's), you can actually lose in combat your new and your original limbs!

Stacklady's Morphic Resonator

What's it called? Stacklady's Morphic Resonator (in brief, SMR)

What does it do? This one's easy: it turns the victim into a frog. Or rather, it mutates them into a frog "that looks an awful lot like the victim".
Aside from the fun, what are the effects and advantages of turning someone into a member of the amphibian population? Well, while the spell lasts, some stats are lowered, and the frogs cannot speak, only croak, meaning that frogged wizards, witches and priests won't be able to cast spells or rituals. Also, you cannot hold weapons with webby hands, leaving the slimy adversaries with no other offensive options than unarmed melee.
Being turned into a frog does paradoxically have small advantages. The swimming and dodging bonuses of the victims increase greatly under it (although in some cases, the persons have higher dodge bonuses in their normal state).
Overall, this is an incredibly useful spell, which works more by 'disarming' your oponents and their attacks for a time, rather than dealing raw damage. It comes very handy for specific opponents, and doesn't start a fight, despite being classed as 'offensive'. Its only major handicap is that it takes a long time to cast, and (less, but important too) the components used.

Where is it? Being a spell dedicated to changes of shape and form, it belongs inside the Ye Booke of Polymorphe grimoire, at the Institute of Illusionary Learning, in Djelibeybi.

What does it require? A pinch of powdered frog and another one of purple powder. Both are consumed in the process.

What skills do I need? Channeling, Evoking, Enchanting

Has it worked? The proper output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Stacklady's Morphic Resonator on xxx (target).
You slowly close your eyes, envisioning the shape of a frog.
You try to draw out the characteristics of a frog from the powder.
Narrowing your eyes, you cast the enchantment forward.
The frog that looks an awful lot like a xxx's throat suddenly swells out in front, and he looks alarmed. He opens his mouth and screams:
The frog that looks an awful lot like a xxx croaks (ribbit).

Books - Ye Booke of Polymorphe

Before I start rambling on the last of the magical grimoires that, for the moment, are accesible in the game, I remit all people interested in the spell Crondor's Fabulous Detection to my previous entry on the said spell, as I think a change has been implemented in it of late: a gold ring is now required too as a component. I still haven't tested it, but the output of spellcheck now certainly mentions it as a 'component':

The spell "Crondor's Fabulous Detection" is a miscellaneous spell requiring a gold ring and a staff.
For stage one using the staff skill, you would most certainly succeed.
For stage two using the gold skill, you would most certainly succeed.
For stage three using the turning skill, you would most certainly succeed.
You complete checking the stages in the casting for Crondor's Fabulous Detection.

And now, back to sorcerous books. 'Ye Booke of Polymorphe' appropiately honours its subject-matter by having many changing forms, alternating between them from time to time. When in the room with the book, you'll get from time to time a line that says:
'The book is so bored that it decides to change its shape slightly'.
After which looking at it will give another new description.
The changes are of two classes: some are specific to this grimoire (and the ones I've been able to find are provided below); others are borrowed from the other spell books in the game (of these, I've seen it addopt the forms of Thee Dyscyplyne of thee Stoane, of the Fire tome and of the 'Occult Primer' guide, but I imagine it can alternate through all of them...).

A closed chitin-covered brochure is on the floor.

This is a small black brochure. Its cover seems to be made of a giant insect's exoskeleton.

Small octarine sparks run to and fro across the black surface of the brochure.

or

A closed furry book is on the floor.

This book is covered with soft brown fur and equipped with several sharp-looking boney thingies. If it grows some more fur, claws and fangs, you wouldn't let your pet cat near it.

Octarine sparks play in the fur that covers the book.

or

A closed quivering tome is on the floor.

This tome seems to live its own life: it shivers, quivers and tries to look completely independent of you, this room, and the rest of the world.

A single octarine spark travels across the surface of the book in an independent manner having as much fun as it can.

or

A closed weird dusty grimoire is on the floor.

This is a dusty grimoire with a pair of eyes bulging on its surface. The eyes do their best to watch your every move.

Pure octarine radiance pulses menacingly in the pitch black pupils of the book's eyes.

or

A closed magic tome is on the floor.

This book is an old, leather-bound tome with some strange designs on the front.

Octarine seeps from between the covers.

or

A closed friendly noisy book is on the floor.

This book doesn't want to lie where it should be. Instead, it tries to nuzzle you affectionately and says woof and arrf every now and then. Perhaps you can call it Fido.

On the surface of the book, two octarine dots are busy chasing each other.

or

A closed huge leather-bound tome is on the floor.

This huge tome is bound in leather that looks and feels suspiciously close to hardened human skin.

Fingerprint-like patterns on the cover glow faintly with octarine.

Booch's Extremal Polymorphism

[Well, up to now we've had to alter slightly the alphabetical order only once: there are a few spells (around 10) which Winswand cannot cast yet, or doesn't dare to try. Booch's was one of them, as it implied a permanent and probably uncomfortable (-1 dex) effect. I also supposed, quite rightly, that the output would be the same or very similar to Yordon's, the twin spell to this one, and one whose effects aren't permanent (for Booch's you have to wait till you die, which in my case is quite a frequent event...).
But I had to try... So the other day, I cast it. A bit later than schedule, then, here it is].

What's it called? Booch's Extremal Polymorphism (in brief, BEP)

What does it do? Well, it creates a third arm for you. The idea is that you will find it useful for scratching your nose, playing musical instruments while you attack at the same time... No, really, the only advantage is that, having three hands (in theory you can get even more, but 'tis said bonuses for the fouth skyrocket...) gives you the possibility of an extra weapon (specially if you use a two-handed one).
The inconveniences are plenty: the arm may appear in various places, such as armpits, necks or heads, or chests. It prevents you from wearing certain items depending on where it sprouts (hats, necklaces...). If on your left or right, the broken symmetry is paid with a dexterity malus.
Also (in theory: here we follow Sekiri's old site), there's the possibility that the new and the old arms might be cut off in a fight.

Where is it? You'll have to tackle the disorienting ways of the Orient's favourite spell library, at the Institute of Illusionary Learning, to put your (two) hands on it. Or a scroll, of course. It is in Ye Booke of Polymorphe.

What does it require? : first, the drawing of an octogram. Then, a set of heavy components, composed of a troll arm, a human arm and a dwarf arm. All are consumed in the process.

What skills do I need? Channeling, Convoking, Evoking, Binding, Animating

Has it worked? A correct output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Booch's Extremal Polymorphism.
Ok, now you have an additional arm hanging from the top of your head. What's next?
You can no longer wear your sapphire blue wizard's pointy hat.

[of course, the yellow, ironical phrase changes depending on the place the arms has appeared. And also the things you cannot wear...]
