Torqvald's Illusion Generatrix

What's it called? Torqvald's Illusion Generatrix (in brief, TIG)

What does it do? This is the top-notch Hoodwincker spell. After a successful cast, it will create a new spell (it has a weird name, the first part of it being your own name. One of mine's, for example, was Winswand's Zethir Huphiv), that needs to be designed and written by yourself after the cast. You are first informed of how many characters you can use (this depends on skills and background magic). Then you start text-editing. You can add colours and similar items. One you're done and saved, the spell appears in your head. Its size will very depending on number of characters (the more, the bigger), and it will use a combination of components that varies for each spell, but tends to incluse a pinch of ash and a bronze ring (not consumed).
The new spell is an 'illusion'. That means that when you cast it, the lines of text that you've written for it will appear to other people in the room as if they where 'natural' happenings. That makes it nice and fun for playing little pranks, like death messages, hp damage and fake stealing messages.
So, what's its use? Really, none at all. It's just a toy spell, played for fun (arguably, *the* best toy spell, as it allows you to create your own personal illusion spells). I can hardly think ways to make it useful, but there may be some in pkdom, as it is fast to cast (deceive pursuers about damage or place you've run to?).

Where is it? Even though it isn't that easy to cast (not hellishly difficult either, that's true...), it lies inside the Cunjuryng for Begynners volume, at the Unseen University Library.

What does it require? a small bucket, a silver ring, a book end and a quill. Except for the bucket, all the components are consumed in the casting.

What skills do I need? Air, Binding, Conjuring, Charming, Channeling, Conjuring (2), Charming (2)

Has it worked? The proper output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Torqvald's Illusion Generatrix.
You examine the quill.
You hold the bucket tightly.
You ceremonially place the quill in the bucket. / You drop the quill into the bucket.
You summon the powers of the mind's eye.
You neatly toss the ring into the bucket. / You flip the ring into the air and catch it in the bucket.
You hold the end raised in one fist.
You make three passes with the end over the bucket and drop it in; the contents of the bucket vanish! / You wave the end over the bucket and drop it in; the contents of the bucket vanish!
Please enter the text of the illusion which you wish your new spell to create. For this illusion, you may use up to xxx characters. Leave a totally blank line where you want a carriage return in the text of your illusion.
Enter your text. Use ** on a line by itself to exit.

Objandeller's Thaumic Funnel

What's it called? Objandeller's Thaumic Funnel (in short, OTF)

What does it do? Objandeller's is one of those helpful adjucts and low-level spell required for anyone who wants to do some enchanting. Basically, it creates a thaumic funnel, which is a component required in both of the enchanting spells we have around (Brother Happalon's and Master Glimmer's) to channel the magic into the items that are to be enchanted.
Overall, a very easy spell, and handy to keep in mind while enchanting (as funnels tend to dissapear or twist into something else quite easily during the process).

Where is it? It is a modest piece of the conjuring family, so it abides inside the Cunjuryng for Begynners grimoire at the Unseen University Library.

What does it require? nothing at all

What skills do I need? Water, Channeling, Dancing, Binding

Has it worked? The proper output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Objandeller's Thaumic Funnel.
You scratch an ear thoughtfully, and think carefully about water.
You consider the pouring and piping of fluids.
You spin, tracing a finger through the air, getting lower and bringing your finger in towards you.
You slowly release your breath and concentrate.
There is a sucking noise, as of a drain unclogging, and a small, blue funnel falls into you hands.

Mugwuddle's Muddling Mirage

What's it called
? Mugwuddle's Muddling Mirage (in short, MMM)

What does it do? Well, this spell is actually quite useful, one of my favourite spells, and it becomes quite handy at times. Basically, it makes your victim suffer a hallucination. As long as it lasts, they will feel like they've been transported to some magic, colourful land with wombles, talking rocks and suchlike, and with as many exits as they'd like. The effect is similar to gazing into a zodiac charm, but affects the casted in this case, and it looks more or less like this:

This is a fabulous land. A herd of green, nubile lemurs is flopping about on a purple swamp, while an indigo rock flops nearby.
It is a very weird nibblebing's aftermoon.
There are as many obvious exits as you could wish.

Back in the real world, you will see the victim as 'confused', and wandering randomly from time to time out of the room it is in. They won't be able to speak properly, only wibble. Nevertheless, there are some actions they can still do (e.g. watchmen who were attacking you will still follow you until they suddenly go off the room).
As for the uses of the spell, they are quite evident. Hallucinating people stop fighting at once, and only return again if provoked, breaking the spell, so it comes as a good way to stop fights you don't relish. If in a dangerous area like the Ramtops, the random wandering may lead to humpy-dumptiesque falls too.

Where is it? Being about the conjuring of fantasy and herb-related, lucy in the sky with diamonds like images, it is only fit it should be found in the Cunjuryng for Begynners volume at the Unseen University Library.

What does it require? A mirror, a pipe and a pinch of tobacco. Only the last item is consumed in the process.

What skills do I need? Air, Animating, Summoning, Channeling, Conjuring

Has it worked? The proper output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Mugwuddle's Muddling Mirage on xxx.
You stuff some tobacco into your pipe and light it, puffing away to generate a good amount of smoke.

You move the clouds of smoke around with your mind, gathering them together.

You reflect light off the mirror, shining it in interesting patterns on the smoke clouds.

You direct the clouds of smoke towards xxx.

You conjure a strange world to confuse xxx.

xxx begins to stare around wide-eyed.

Master Woddeley’s Luminescent Companion

What's it called? Master Woddeley’s Luminescent Companion (in short, MWLC)

What does it do? This is one of two light spells, which will help you for seeing in the dark if you are rather remiss at the guild point expenditure caused by yellow rings, or if as yet you are too poor (or too in danger) to buy yourself a permalight. The spell is easy to cast, but the blue light created tends to be a bit disliked, as it can be quite spammy, doesn't last for very long and can frequently be attacked by mistake (and a tough little bugger it is! syntax 'shoo' is your friend here). It can also only be cast on oneself, as opposed to other light forms and spirits.
Overall, it is quite a useful spell for the young wizard, though, and as stated, easy to cast.

Where is it? As one of the elemental spells for bringing about little beings from nothing-land, it is fit that it should lie inside the Cunjuryng for Begynners volume at the Unseen University Library

What does it require? nothing at all.

What skills do I need? Evoking, Channeling, Animating

Has it worked? The proper output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Master Woddeley's Luminescent Companion.
You gaze off into the distance.
You hold your hand up in the air and call the light to it.
You close your fist slowly, drawing the light in with it.
A small blue light darts into the area and zips around you.

Brassica Oleracea Ambulata

What's it called?
Brassica Oleracea Ambulata (in brief, BOA)

What does it do? It summons a cabbage that follows you, loves you and generally spams a lot. You may convoke and throw upon yourself or other people a large number of these thinguies, which may be destroyed by eating them (the person who has the cabbage cast upon him) or turning them into coleslaw with a pickling stick. The first option isn't recommended for those with a weak stomach...
There are rumours about a previous variant of the spell, used by NPC Wizards, that threw you an agressive, wrotten version of a cabbage (similar perhaps to the ones you find in the Sto Lat Warehouse?). If that is the case, 'tis a pity the cres don't resurrect that one to complement this inocent toy spell...

Where is it? It can be found in the Cunjuryng for Begynners grimoire, inside the depths of the UU Library.

What does it require? Nothing at all (well, knowing the spell, the skills and liking cabbages a lot...)

What skills do I need? Evoking, Channeling, Animating

Has it worked? A correct output should read something like this:

You prepare to cast Brassica Oleracea Ambulata on xxx.
You thoughtfully chew your cheek.
You hold your hand out in front of yourself and stare intently at it.
Your hand shudders, going a slight green colour.
A cabbage suddlenly appears from nowhere.
It looks adoringly at xxx.
The cabbage follows xxx.
