Fiddelmaker's Auriferous Embrace

What's it called? Fiddelmaker's Auriferous Embrace (in short, FAE)

What does it do? This is one of the new 'artificer' spells that have appeared in the newly refurbished Sto Lat Library and Wizard's Guild. As to its purpose, it pours a small amount of molten gold over someone, causing them some damage and pain, with much screaming.
As for the use of the spell, I'd rate it fairly low. The amount of damage done isn't much (there's even a rumour, which I'll have to check, that casting it on trolls actually *heals* them instead of damaging them; it does look logical, but very unpractical...), and the spent gold component would probably be better employed for other purposes. Besides, if you're wearing a gold ring it won't let you cast the spell, and there's always the danger of a misplaced and valuable blorple suddenly turned into cinders... Still, I always appreciate the introduction of new spells, even if I don't count on using them at all...

Where is it? As already stated, it is one of the 5 new spells that can be found inside Thee Secrets of Artifyce and Crafte grimoire, at the Sto Lat Library.

What does it require? A wand (any wand; haven't tried with pickling sticks, though) and a gold ring, which is consumed (ouch!) in the process.

What skills do I need? Wand, Gold, Animating

Has it worked? A succesful output reads something like this:

You prepare to cast Fiddelmaker's Auriferous Embrace on the xxx (target).

You slip a gold ring over the end of your wand.

Calling up a flicker of magical flame, you melt the ring into a sphere of liquid gold.

You level your wand at the xxx and speak a Word of Power, instilling the sphere of molten gold with anger and life.

A ray of hot golden light leaps towards a xxx.

The ray of molten gold slams into the xxx's chest with a thud and a smell of burnt flesh.
