What's it called? Doctor Worblehat's Flaming Primate Premonition (in short, DWFPP)
What does it do? This is one member of the 'create light' spell family, which keeps growing day by day. In this case, the spell will allow you to give birth to an artifact in the shape of a wooden monkey; the monkey functions (as long as the crystal source of its energy keeps going) as a light source, like yellow rings or the converted items produced by the spell Turnwhistle's Effulgent Autiridescence. The improvement is that it doesn't consume gps while working, but it has to be rekindled from time to time (with the need of some components and the spell Rubayak's Power Dispenser) and it can't be worn (it isn't very heavy, though).
Overall, I'd consider it quite an unnecessary trinklet, as we already have two light spells and TEA, besides yellow rings, torches and (the most practical) permalights. Nevertheless, it is quite a funny addition (it would be even better if it was spammy and asked you for bananas).

What does it require? The focus of an octogram and a knife to start carving. Also a gold ring, a rowan orb and a red crystal, all of which are consumed (or rather, 'transformed') in the process.
What skills do I need? Turning, Gold, Enchanting, Binding
Has it worked? A succesful output reads something like this:
You prepare to cast Doctor Worblehat's Flaming Primate Premonition.
Covering your mouth with one hand, you step into the middle of the octogram and ask the rowan orb to sit in mid air while you work it with your knife.
You put the knife down and place the gold ring inside the developing statue.
Placing your hands over your ears, you focus on the ring within and cause it to melt enough to mold it into a tiny dais.
You lift the crystal and place it on the newly crafted dais, then putting your hands over your eyes, you concentrate all your energy into the red crystal and make it glow brilliantly.
Finally, using all your senses, you bind all the magical properies together into one grand artifact.

Doctor Worblehat's had a dream one night about some strange future event. The dream encouraged him to create this spell. Unfortunately, the wizard in the premonition was him and he was never able to tell anyone the secret of the flaming primate.

This is a small wooden monkey with an even smaller cage where the belly should be. Within the cage is a tiny red crystal sitting on a golden dais. On the golden dais is a miniscule plaque with minute runes which might mean "Light Me".
The wooden monkey is not lit, and the tiny crystal glimmers from within. / The crystal inside the wooden monkey's belly hovers slightly over the golden dais and glows a warm, rose colour.
A shimmer of octarine plays across the monkey subtly.
It appears to have something written on it.
